SwissP Defence AG from Thun is setting new standards with its innovative SWISS P Hybrid Case Technology, abbreviated as HCT. The hybrid cases by SWISS P offer a unique combination of ballistic performance enhancement and improved logistics with reduced weight for soldiers.
Swiss aerospace group RUAG International has transferred all shares in RUAG Ammotec to Beretta Holding as of the end of July. Both companies had signed an agreement on the sale of the business unit on March 9, 2022. As a result, Beretta Holding is taking over all business activities as well as all employees at all production and sales sites from the beginning of August 2022.
The Canadian optics manufacturer Armament Technology has launched new products. In addition to the redesign of the TT525, the company has introduced the SAI6, a completely new target optic for brilliant optical performance in demanding environments. RUAG International has concluded an agreement on the sale of its Ammotec business unit to the Beretta Holding. As envisaged by the Swiss Federal Council, the Ammotec division will be divested - with site assurance for Thun and transfer of all employees. The closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. The parties have agreed not to disclose any financial terms.

In the course of RUAG Ammotec’s strategic portfolio expansion, another established brand has been gained for the professional shooter solutions offering in Wyssen Defence. The silencers for military and government use can now be acquired from the Defense & Law Enforcement division of RUAG Ammotec.
Alongside the high-quality target scopes of the Tangent Theta brand, Armament Technology will now also exclusively sell ELCAN target scopes through Ammotec in the military and government sector. This will further strengthen the partnership between the two companies.
RUAG Ammotec’s product range is being expanded with Armament Technology’s high-quality riflescopes from Tangent Theta. The integration of these products is the next logical step, and underlines our new way of seeing ourselves as a provider of “Professional Shooter Solutions” in the defence and law enforcement market.
