Product overview

.223 Rem.

The many varied dangerous situations require very different means. Ammotec offers a wide range of special cartridges which stand out due to their excellent precision and highest first-hit probability. The different bullets guarantee an outstanding effect on hard and soft targets. The perfectly coordinated ballistics of the SWISS P cartridges allow the shooter to change between bullet types while maintaining the aiming point.

.308 Win.

Use of the calibre .308 Win. is extremely widespread among authority and military forces. In no other calibre does Ammotec have such a varied product spectrum for snipers, security shooters, and designated marksmen. The right tool exists for each highly specialised intervention. A particularly positive aspect is the interchangeability of different cartridges without the need to adjust the optics, but with a constant point of impact. This is referred to as coordinated ballistics, enabling enormous flexibility in action.

.338 Lapua Mag.

The calibre .338 Lapua Mag. is very popular with long-distance shooters and widely used in the military sector especially. The relatively compact and handy weapon system enables effective operative ranges of more than one and a half kilometres under optimal conditions. The bullet remains stable over a long distance in the supersonic range and accordingly brings a lot of energy precisely into the target. To be able to avert particularly dangerous situations, Ammotec offers various special bullets that are closely matched to each other. Be it for the penetration of light armour, precision shots through glass panels, or minimised danger for the background, the shooters can choose from well thought-out and extensively proven solutions within the framework of the SWISS P line.

.375 SWISS P

An operational precision shooter has to be agile and able to deliver the maximum performance even in the most challenging conditions, while equipment must be reliable and versatile enough to deliver results across the widest possible operational spectrum. The new .375 SWISS P long-distance ammunition has been especially developed for the requirements of operational precision shooters. The new calibre is suitable for highly demanding situations and markedly increases the operational spectrum of the proven .338 weapons system.

Bullet Type

Ball

This round is specifically designed for military use and was developed in close cooperation with the Swiss Armed Forces. It has an enclosed tip and meets all the requirements of the Hague Convention for wound ballistics. Minimal barrel wear and minimal smoke residue build-up make it extremely useful for extensive shooting.

Target

The shape of this bullet was developed for one purpose: maximum accuracy. The sophisticated HPBT design provides outstanding ballistic values. In each calibre, there is also a heavier long-range version available for less cross wind drift, greater target energy and with an extended supersonic flight for more stability.

Styx Action

The shot thatis taken as a last opportunity requires the highest hit probability and an absolutely reliable effect on the target (as in hostage rescue situations etc.). The Styx Action (and Final) rounds were specifically designed to transfer maximum energy in the first few centimetres after striking a soft target and reducing the risk of over penetration as well as possible collateral damage.

Final SR

The Final SR round with its fragmentation bullet was specially designed for short operational distances in urban environments. The risk of over penetration is minimised, reducing the chances of collateral damage.

Armour Piercing

To be prepared for every scenario, snipers require a round with high penetration power on hard targets such as ballistic glass, engine blocks, body- and light vehicle armour. Because the core stays intact during penetration, it transfers extremely effective residual energy to hard targets. The bullet jacket provides maximum accuracy, protects the barrel and is stripped off upon impact.

Armour Piercing Incidiary

The tungsten carbide core is made from one of the hardest metals known to man, and resists deformation even when striking armour. When the titanium tip strikes the target, the energy transfer converts it into brightly glowing sparks. The API round enhances the visibility of the impact, so that the sniper or spotter can better detect the impact and make quick follow-up corrections. Moreover, API can serve to mark the target and thus enable troops to see the enemy target.

Tactical

One of the biggest challenges when fi ring through glass is the unpredictable deflection the bullet may take after penetration. Conventional full metal jacket bullets with lead cores go through glass, but are fragmented by the hard and randomly deflective target medium. As a result, the shooter misses the target and endangers uninvolved bystanders. The flat and sharp-edged bullet tip has been designed to properly hit the surface of angled glass (train, bus, light vehicle) and penetrate while staying in the line of fire.

Subsonic

The element of surprise is a decisive factor in determining the outcome of a mission. Subsonic rounds allow virtually silent preliminary measures without attracting attention. Secondary targets such as alarm systems, guard dogs or getaway vehicles can be eliminated unnoticed, providing precious extra time in critical situations. Swiss P Subsonic cartridges have an effective range of up to 100 m and are particularly suited for use in urban areas.

Subsonic Final

The perfect round for silent missions in urban terrain is optimised for use in suppressed weapons. Two advantages in one product: The muzzle bang is minimised and the supersonic bang is eliminated, which provides a minimal acoustic profile. The unique bullet made from pressed pellets immediately disintegrates when hitting a soft target, even at subsonic speed. Because of the extremely short penetration depth of the fragments, it minimises the risk of overpenetration and increases the safety of bystanders.
